Lucainena de Las Torres is around the half way point of this ride and is listed as Uno de Los Pueblos Mas Bonitos de Espana (one of Spain's most beautiful villages) so we thought we'd name it in honour of this lovely little place.
The route out climbs into the Cortijo Grande which are high valleys in the Sierra Cabrera mountains, Wonderful countryside with great views.
Proceeding towards Sorbas it climbs across a landscape in the Karst en Yesos de Sorbas Natural Park which is reminiscent of parts of somewhere like Montana and the views are spectacular.
Leaving Lucainena is through quiet countryside into the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park and towards Carboneras and the sea then back along the coast to Mojacar going high over the climb of La Granatilla with tremendous views out across the Mediterranean and then cruise back through Mojacar to the hotel.
