The Times newspaper rates local beaches Cala Rajá and Agua Amarga as 13th and 16th respectively.
Cabo de Gata-Nijar is a protected nature park with a wild and isolated landscape thanks to its desert climate, which makes it the driest location in Europe.

MOJACAR BECOMES THE OFFICIAL HEADQUARTERS FOR THE BELGIAN CYCLING FEDERATION
Agency Manager and Professional Cyclist, Jan Almeye, said Mojácar ranked as one of the top destinations for cycling, along with Mallorca and Calpe.
Rabobank Trainer, Piet Kuijs agreed, saying the area had fantastic range of challenging routes.

TEAM BELGIUM ARRIVE
A Team of Professional cyclists scouted Mojacar as a key location for the first edition of the Gran Fondo Costa de Almeria tour. Representatives from different international cycling groups held a meeting with Mayor, Rosa Maria Cano to discuss logistics for the 2018 race.
Underpinning the Belgian's delegation's meeting with the Mojacar Mayor is the promotion of Almeria as a top destination for cyclists from northern Europe.
