I am a Surrey based cyclist working at Sigma Sports as the content and social media manager.
I was Velo Hols Ride Captain for the 2018 Gran Fondo in Almeria. Great race, great party after and even better enjoyed as I won it!
The Gran Fondo really showed why Almeria is an incredible place to ride and I can't wait to come back in 2019.

I’m the co-founder of Dirty Wknd Cycling Club. Dirty Wknd is a cycling club and community, one which is quite different from many others. We call ourselves a social club, one that focuses a lot on beginner riders and newer cyclists.
Almeria is right up there for cycling. I and other Dirty Wknders took part in the 2018 Gran Fondo and we'll be back again. It was epic - its not often you get the chance to ride 200km in the beautiful Spanish sunshine.
As well as the race itself on the other days of our stay I was riding spectacular roads and climbs with members of the club. It’s always much better doing these types of rides with some mates! That and the
beach party after the event - the social element of cycling is very important to us!
